Respecting The Rabbit Hole

On top of picking up a odd collection of CD’s:

“Bob Marley – Rastaman Vibration” and “Jackson Brown – I’m Alive” and “Sex Pistols – Never Mind The Bollocks Here’s The Sex Pistols” and “Kris Kross – Totally Krossed Out” and “Eric Glatz – The Barbecue Songs Of Mr. Toad”…

Yes that is Sex Pistols next to Kris Kross. It’s not easy being me. Believe me.

I have never heard the Jackson Browne, or the Eric Glats (that seems to be a homemade CD) but of course I have owned and loved the other and they will be featured in the Escape. Kris Kross. I laugh at myself, but I really liked this one back in the day. “Jump” was the song that got me out on the dance floor in the “going out” days with work friends to local dance clubs even before I was drunk enough to care how much of a fool I looked out there. Wiggity wiggity wack!

I also picked up a UK Mojo magazine from October of 2011.  There was an article on Pink Floyd. Who could resist?

It was worth the quarter for a magazine because it led me to this little tiny article.

I had never heard of Little Roy before and I mentally scoffed at the notion of reggae versions of Nirvana songs. I could stop myself from checking it out though, and I’ll be damned. It’s good!

You decide.

It’s a weird mix of the familiar lyrics with a completely different musical feel. I loved “Dive” and “On A Plain” and the brass and dub in “Come As You Are” is classic. I have to say that I really dig this.

This would be something cool to break out on a rainy Sunday night with friends.

I love you Rabbit Hole.
